Yes, it is finally summer.... and for some of us Pitta Dosha in full force
Summer is the season of Pitta Dosha. Pitta is one of the three ayurvedic Dosha and it consists of the element of Fire and water. Depending on your individual constitution you may be going through summer with ease, enjoying the higher temperatures; that is often the case for people with more of a Kapha and Vata body type who would suffer more in winter. However, if you are more of a fiery person with your fair share of Pitta, you might feel a great deal of discomfort navigating the extra heat, sharpness and intensity of our summer.

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR OUR BODY?
Generally speaking, pitta is located in the middle part of our body. it plays a great role in digesting our food, regulating our body temperature, producing RBC, giving us good eyesight and healthy-looking skin.
Our small intestine
Liver
Spleen
Blood
Eyes
Skin
are all associated with Pitta Dosha.
RECOGNISE THE EARLY SIGNS OF PITTA IMBALANCES
When healthy and balance, Pitta dosha brings intelligence, passion, clarity, charisma and courage but in excess, it brings anger and frustration, jealousy, excessive behaviours, acidity in the stomach, irritated skin and bodily inflammations.

If Pitta is aggravated in your body, you might be experiencing some of the signs and symptoms below.
· Inflamed and irritated skin
· Headaches
· Heart burn with too much acidity in the stomach
· Loose bowels with a more yellowish color
· You get easily frustrated and angry
· Higher sensitivity to the light
· You suffer from inflammation and are prone to infections
· Excessive perfectionist tendencies leading to OCD
ONE OF THE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPALS OF AYURVEDA IS THAT OUR HABITS AND DIETS SHOULD CHANGE WITH THE SEASONS. SO, WHAT CAN YOU DO IN SUMMER TO KEEP PITTA BALANCED.
